The Wellness and Respect program delivering through Empowerment Hubs, that will be Strengthening Indigenous Men Through Fitness, Emotional Intelligence, and Respectful Relations
Our project aims to focus on promoting physical fitness, encouraging emotional intelligence, and nurturing a respectful approach among Indigenous men towards women. Our approach, we intend to facilitate fitness sessions led by positive role models to promote physical and mental health combined with incorporating nationally accredited units of competency such as BSBPEF502 – Develop and use emotional intelligence, and CHCMHS002 – Establish self-directed recovery relationships.
These units are part of a Diploma/Certificate IV Level course, offering formal qualifications that significantly contribute towards personal and career development for all participants. We will provide access to laptops to all participants, ensuring equal technology accessibility. Furthermore, our project includes crucial sessions focusing on respect for Indigenous women, addressing issues related to violence and inequality, as well as the empowerment of women.
In adherence with the Guidelines, our project will provide services that are culturally sensitive, and a more equitable Indigenous communities.
